Darktrace Logo

Our logo is a key part of our visual identity. When people see it, we want them to remember it and associate it with the best qualities of our brand.

Our logo has several pieces and focal points, so in order to strengthen recognition and recall, we always present our logo in a single color. To ensure legibility, white logo should be used on dark backgrounds and black for light backgrounds.

Logo Considerations
Beneath are examples of how to use our logos across our ecosystem.

Logo Evolution

As of 15th August, 2024—Usage of the 2 color logo (right) is no longer allowed. Please adhere to the following logo guidelines to properly apply the Darktrace logo moving forward.

Clear Space

Please ensure ample space for our Logo to coexist with other elements within a composition. A helpful guideline is to use the letter “D” of our logo to establish a reference point for the required clear space.

To guarantee legibility, our Logo’s minimum size will primarily be observed in social media assets and print materials. As a reliable minimum reference, it is recommended to maintain a width of at least 127 pixels.

Color & Backgrounds

When used in the dark color, the primary logo background should be white. However, the dark color logo can also be used on white backgrounds with the ‘Glow,’ light photography (be extra mindful to maintain contrast), and on our primary brand color, 'DT Orange.' Always ensure sufficient contrast and legibility.

Color & Backgrounds

When used in a white color, the primary logo background should be DT Dark or black. However, the white logo can also be used on dark backgrounds with the ‘Trace’ and dark photography (be extra mindful to maintain contrast). Always ensure sufficient contrast and legibility.

Color & Backgrounds

Occasionally, our logo can be used in DT Orange. This should be reserved for situations when the composition is primarily black and white, and the logo needs color to reinforce brand recognition. Additionally, in instances where the logo is used in DT Orange, the size should be small, so as to not overpower other elements on the canvas.

The logo in DT Orange can be used on white or dark/black backgrounds, but should not be used in any other instance. Always ensure sufficient contrast and legibility.

Co-branding Guidelines

When partnering with other organizations, we  have specific rules for co-branding. Because the Darktrace logo is very wide, we use a formula that achieves visual balance between the two logos. If the Dartkrace logo height is X, the other logo should be .5x taller.

This rule should work for most situations, but in the event it doesn’t achieve visual balance, the designer should adjust to maintain equal visual weight between logos.

For limited use only, if not outlined below, default to full logo.

Our icon serves as a shorthand representation of our logo, primarily utilized in instances requiring smaller sizes such as social avatars, favicons, or select branded merchandise. Nevertheless, it's essential for the main logo to accompany the icon within the same context to reinforce brand recognition and consistency.

Clear Space

Please ensure ample space for our Icon to coexist with other elements within a composition. A helpful guideline is to use the Icon size to establish a reference point for the required clear space.

To guarantee legibility, our Icon’s minimum size will primarily be observed in social media assets and print materials. As a reliable minimum reference, it is recommended to maintain a height of at least 9 pixels.

Color & Backgrounds

Our Icon can only show up in two colors, Dark and white. The primary avatar for Darktrace is white on Dark.
